(GULF OF GUINEA, Africa) — Pirates attacked a U.S.-based oil supply vessel off the Nigerian coast on Wednesday and kidnapped the captain and chief engineer, CBC News reported. The 222-foot C-Retriever is owned by Edison Chouest Offshore of Cut Off, La. A U.S. defense official said the State Department and FBI were leading the American response to the incident.
