(DECATUR, Ala.) — The Port of Decatur, one of the busiest ports on the Tennessee River, has been acquired by Tuscaloosa-based Parker Towing, AL.com reported. The port handles more than 5 million tons of cargo each year. It features a 2,000-foot riverfront, 12 acres of open storage and more than 90 fleeting spots.
