(STURGEON BAY, Wis.) — Palmer Johnson Yachts announced Wednesday that it plans to close its manufacturing facilities in Sturgeon Bay, resulting in the loss of up to 100 jobs, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported. In a news release, Palmer Johnson owner Timur Mohamed said, "Our operation and employment levels have continued to diminish, sales have diminished, offshore competitive pressures have escalated, and as a result this action becomes a necessity." General manager Marc Castillo said the company itself is not closing and "we are looking at all options right now for continuing” to operate.
