(HONG KONG) — A gambling operator in 2010 will try out four solar hybrid ferries, Time magazine reported. Commercial ship operators are experimenting with greener vessels, and the U.S. Navy is trying out a gas-turbine and electric-powered warship. One environmental officials says if the maritime industry were a country, it would be the world’s sixth-largest air polluter.
