(GULFPORT, Miss.) — State and local officials christened the research vessel Blake on Monday in Gulfport Harbor, WLOX reported. The 82-foot aluminum catamaran was built by Geo Shipyard of New Iberia, La., for David Evans and Associates. Its initial duty will be to survey the Gulfport Channel for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
