North Atlantic storm batters, severely damages bulk carrier

(HALIFAX, Nova Scotia) — The crew of the bulk carrier Antarios Breeze was lucky to be alive after a storm battered the Canada-bound vessel in the North Atlantic, the Chronicle Herald newspaper of Halifax reported. The storm caused structural damage and harmed a turbocharger. Canadian authorities have ordered immediate repairs and correction of several safety infractions after the ship limped into Halifax.
