NOAA’s newest fisheries vessel to undergo trials at San Diego

(SAN DIEGO) — The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has sent its newest fisheries vessel to San Diego for trials, KPBS reported. The $55 million Bell M Shimada is equipped with an extremely quiet engine and a remotely operated vehicle. The ship will conduct rockfish surveys off the California coast.
