(SARASOTA, Fla.) — Hann Powerboats, which produces a 45-foot aluminum-hulled gunboat called the Peacemaker, is getting a boost from the recent increase in Nigerian piracy, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported. Hann is preparing to deliver the first of several Peacemakers to a security firm based in Lagos, Nigeria, that protects vessels in the offshore oil trade. A potential purchase by a government agency could secure orders for another 20 boats.
