New Canadian ferry heads back to Europe after engine 'glitch'

(ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland and Labrador) — A new $50 million ferry slated to serve the Fogo Island-Change Island route is heading back to a Romanian shipyard to have a new engine installed, CBC News reported. The 262-foot M/V Veteran was making the crossing from Europe to Newfoundland and Labrador when it experienced a "glitch" in one of its engines, Transportation Minister David Brazil said. Damen Shipyards decided to recall Veteran to replace the power plant.
