(PORTLAND, Maine) — Members of Maine's congressional delegation are exploring the possibility of using a surplus Navy ship to restart ferry service between Portland and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the Portland Press Herald reported. Bay Ferries Ltd., the Canadian company that will be taking over the daily service this summer after the demise of Nova Star Cruises, has not been able to procure a vessel. The delay has led at least one tourism company to cancel reservations for the season.
