(ROGERS CITY, Mich.) — Moran Iron Works has been awarded a contract to build two oceangoing deck barges for Cheboygan-based Durocher Marine, the Presque Isle County Advance reported. MIW is working with Netsco of Cleveland, Ohio, on the design and engineering of the 180-by-54-foot barges. The keels will be laid this summer at MIW’s fabrication facility in Onaway.
