Mold sickens 22 aboard Canadian Coast Guard ship

(ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland) — Mold aboard a Canadian Coast Guard patrol vessel has been blamed after 22 crew became sick, the Canadian Press reported, citing an article in the St. John’s Telegram newspaper. Just before the spate of illnesses, a pipe blockage had caused a graywater backup in a crew mess area of the Cape Roger. The ship docked in Newfoundland, and the Coast Guard is cleaning the vessel.
