(VICTORIA, British Columbia) — BC Ferries experienced service backups Wednesday after two of its vessels suffered mechanical failures, the Times Colonist newspaper of Victoria reported. A speed-control mechanism failed on the Spirit of British Columbia, and a propeller problem sidelined the Queen of Vancouver.
