(BAYOU LA BATRE, Ala.) — Master Boat Builders of Bayou La Batre has delivered SEACOR Totonaca, a new 221-foot platform supply vessel (PSV), to SEACOR Marine.
Main propulsion is provided by a pair of Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines, each producing 1,911 hp at 1,600 rpm. The mains drive ABS five-blade bronze propellers through Twin Disc MGX-5600 marine gears with 5.04:1 reduction ratios. SEACOR Totonaca has a 11.8-knot maximum speed and a cruising speed of 10.5 knots.
The newbuild also features four Schottel thrusters, four Caterpillar gensets, a Jastram steering system, and Twin Disc EC-300 DP controls. Complete specs are as follows:
