Mark Reedenauer joins NMEA as Documentation Specialist

SEVERNA PARK, MD-The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) is pleased to announce that Mark Reedenauer has joined the team as Documentation Specialist. In the newly created position, Reedenauer will be responsible for updating the NMEA 2000® database, the NMEA 0183 specification, Marine Electronics Installer and NMEA 2000® training documents, PowerPoint presentations, and a variety of standard operating procedures.
Reedenauer brings with him 12 years of experience in the marine electronics industry. Most recently he served for six years as product marketing manager for Airmar. He held the same position with Northstar for six years before that. While at Airmar, he implemented a full set of marketing tools, including product guides, comparisons, PowerPoints, and videos, trained NMEA dealers on Airmar products, and introduced the concept for a profitable new transducer product.

Married with two sons, Reedenauer graduated from Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. In his free time, Reedenauer enjoys fishing, skiing, and tinkering with marine electronics. He will work from his office in Concord, N.H.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to join the National Marine Electronics Association and to once again work with David Hayden,” said Reedenauer. “With his direction, I plan to streamline how the documentation process is handled within the NMEA organization. This includes updating training materials along with installation standards documents pertaining to NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000®.” “We’re very fortunate to have Mark on board,” said NMEA President David Hayden. “His marine electronics background and creativity will be tremendous assets in helping us take standards development, technical training, and overall document presentations to new levels. I know I speak for the entire NMEA membership in welcoming Mark to the team.”
