(WASHINGTON) — The Maritime Administration (MarAd) published a Federal Register Notice on Oct. 28 inviting the public and other Marine Transportation System stakeholders to participate in a discussion intended to develop a robust national maritime strategy. The purpose of this public meeting is to gather ideas for improving, expanding and strengthening key aspects of the marine transportation system.
The notice also requests speaker and topic proposals for the public meeting’s agenda. This public meeting will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, January 14 through January 16, 2014. The pre-publication version of the notice can be found at https://federalregister.gov/a/2013-25396 and will be open for agenda topics, comments and ideas from Oct. 28 until November 22, 2013.
