The following is the text of a news release from the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA):
(WASHINGTON) — On Thursday, Dec. 31, the Maritime Administration (MarAd) announced the 2016 funding availability for the Small Shipyard Grant Program. There is currently $4.9 million available for capital and related improvements to qualified shipyard facilities. Applications are due Feb. 16. Grants will be awarded by April 18.
