MarAd alert: Houthi threat to ships in Red Sea, Gulf of Aden

(WASHINGTON) — At 2330 UTC on Jan. 10, coalition forces conducted strikes against targets used by Houthi rebels in Yemen to launch attacks against international shipping lanes and commercial vessels.

U.S. Naval Forces Central Command recommends that U.S.-flagged commercial vessels remain north of 18N in the Red Sea or East of 46E in the Gulf of Aden for the next 72 hours. Further updates will be provided when available.
