(GARYVILLE, La.) — The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating what killed a seaman who fell from a ship in the Mississippi River, The Times-Picayune reported. Local police were notified Thursday just before 2100 hours that a man fell from a vessel at a docking area. The ship's crew rescued him and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was administered, but he died at the scene.
