(PHILADELPHIA) — The Army Corps of Engineers has officially begun a major dredging project in the Delaware River, Fox 29 television reported. The controversial project to deepen the river and bay is meant to accommodate larger ships in the local ports. Norfolk Dredging Co. vessels have begun the work this afternoon.
