Maersk doesn’t want its crews fighting back against armed pirates

(NAIROBI, Kenya) — Maersk Line President John Reinhart said Maersk crews are not supposed to fight back against armed pirates, ABC News reported. The family of the U.S. captain of Maersk Alabama said the captain voluntarily offered himself as a hostage to spare the rest of his crew. U.S. officials say other pirates are believed to be still operating in the general area of the Maersk Alabama attack.
