Mackinac Island ferry loses propulsion in rough waters

(MACKINAW CITY, Mich.) — A Mackinac Island ferry lost propulsion in stormy weather, stranding passengers for more than two hours in 10-foot waves, USA Today reported on its Cruise Log blog. The operator, Arnold Transit, said the bad weather knocked out a computer, causing a jet drive nozzle to fail. The vessel was carrying 226 passengers.
