Live-in tugboat captain in dispute with Erie Canal officials

(WATERFORD, N.Y.) — The owner of a 50-year-old tugboat and 1930s barge has been charged with trespass, the Albany Times-Union newspaper reported. The captain had moored his ‘floating museum’ vessels in the Erie Canal alongside a bridge. The Canal Corp. doesn’t want him wintering in that area.
