(LEWES, De.) — Delaware’s historic vessel Lightship Overfalls is receiving a new, modern mast system, the Cape Gazette newspaper of Lewes reported. Colonna’s Shipyard of Norfolk, Va., is overhauling the lightship with new steel plates, three coats of epoxy and a new anchor. The ship’s mast was damaged in a bridge collision while en route to the shipyard, so a mast system is being installed that can be lowered for future bridge transits.
