Lawsuit: Tugboat error caused line to snap, resulting in knee injury

(BEAUMONT, Texas) — An employee of R&R Marine who was working at the Sabine yard has filed a lawsuit claiming he suffered a knee injury as a result of a line snapping, the Southeast Texas Record legal newspaper reported. The plaintiff is suing Belle Pass Towing Corp/, South Bayou Marine, Hercules Offshore and Hercules Assets. He claims that an extra pushboat should have been used when a rig was placed into position for a survey at the yard, and the tugboats accelerated when they were ordered instead to let off the throttle.
