JonRie delivers four ship sets of winches to Seabulk Towing

JonRie delivered four ship sets of deck equipment to Seabulk Towing. The first vessel the Athena will be on sea trails this week and to be delivered by 4/15/13 from Washburn & Doughty, East Boothbay, Maine. The new Tug is a Washburn & Doughty designed ASD complete with a JonRie Series 220 Double Drum winch on the bow with a capacity of 150M of 60 mm line, a line pull of 15 Tons, a line speed of 30  M/m and a brake with capacity of 200 Tons. The winch features JonRies hands free foot control, Active Heave Compensation and a Tension Readout system for every drum. On the Stern is a JonRie Series 512 Towing Winch with a capacity of 650M of 60 mm line, a line pull of 50 Tons, a line speed of 10  M/m and a brake with capacity of 150 Tons. The winch features JonRie’s independent level wind and gypsy head. The sister tug Apollo will be delivered later this summer.

The 2nd vessel the Aura will be on sea trails the week of 5/21/13 and to be delivered by 5/1/13 from Great Lakes Shipyard, Cleveland, Ohio. The new Tug is a Jensen designed ASD complete with a JonRie Series 220 Double Drum winch on the bow with a capacity of 150M of 60 mm line, a line pull of 15 Tons, a line speed of 30  M/m and a brake with capacity of 200 Tons. The winch features JonRies hands free foot control, Active Heave Compensation and a Tension Readout system for every drum. On the Stern is a JonRie Series 421 Capstan with a line speed of 10M/m and a line pull of 10 Tons. The sister Atlas vessel will be delivered some time mid-summer.
