Iowa town restores, lights up 19th-century sternwheel towboat

(LE CLAIRE, Iowa) — A rare 19th-century sternwheel towboat will be more visible on the waterfront, the Quad City Times newspaper reported. An engineer has a developed a way to light up the vessel Lone Star at River Pilots Pier. The towboat, built in 1868 in Iowa, has been restored and is now a museum piece.
