Inspectors find more corrosion in Washington state ferries

(SEATTLE) — Inspectors have discovered corrosion in five more Washington state ferries, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper reported. The Coast Guard ordered the inspections after the ferry agency yanked at least four of its vessels out of operation last month due to corrosion, cracks and other problems. Engineers will recheck five other ferries this week after crews clean away some of the corrosion.
