The Fleet Xpress for Offshore Vessels (OSV) service recognizes that connectivity needs on board OSVs change frequently and that swings in data usage are likely to be more pronounced than for conventional cargo ships, which is why it offers free upgrades and downgrades in service levels during the 36-month contract period.
Supported by a 1-meter antenna, the Fleet Xpress for OSV service delivers committed information rates of up to 3 Mbps for uploads and 6 Mbps for downloads with a standard antenna, climbing to 5 Mbps and 10 Mbps respectively with an enhanced antenna. When off-hire, a more economic 128 kbps/128 Kbps link may be sufficient to keep core operational data exchange ticking over.
The flexible service plan can meet OSVs’ changing on-hire and off-hire connectivity needs, allowing you to upgrade and downgrade to a narrower "standby" link between projects for free, avoiding early termination costs. In addition, the service plan allows you to suspend services for up to 180 days.
Customizable high-speed bandwidth plans are available, providing extensive coverage of major oil and gas areas with speeds of up to 10 Mbps if used in conjunction with the enhanced terminal.
