Ingram Barge’s Philip: Coal, metals shipments improving (Q&A)

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — Many sectors of maritime transportation cargo are improving, notably coal, metals and agriculture products, Ingram Barge Chief Executive Craig Philip told The Tennessean newspaper in a Q&A. Sand and gravel tonnage is lagging, however, according to the Nashville-based company. Ingram Barge is seeing double-digit revenue gains so far this year, but business still hasn’t recovered to the level of previous years.
