India Lotus fire out, but ship in need of tow, food, water

The following is the text of a press release issued by the U.S. Coast Guard:
 
(JUNEAU, Alaska) — The India Lotus notified the Coast Guard they were no longer in need of assistance at 1:15 p.m. AST.
 
The owners of the India Lotus, Ofer Brothers Properties, have contracted for a tow. The vessel also reported a shortage of food and water as result of the fire. They have contracted for the delivery of food and water from Dutch Harbor.
 
The Coast Guard Cutter Mellon is no longer en route to the India Lotus.
 
The Coast Guard will remain on a four-hour communications schedule with India Lotus.
