IMTRA offers next-generation NorSap helm and operator chairs

(NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — IMTRA, a leading manufacturer and importer of quality marine and commercial products, on Tuesday introduced three new additions to the NorSap brand of seating solutions — the NorSap 1600 Standard, NorSap 1800 Active and NorSap 4000 Impulse models.

A leader in ergonomic and high-quality helm seats and operator chairs, NorSap’s line of standard and custom solutions are available for commercial marine and offshore vessels, oil and gas rig operators, remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs), military and other industrial applications throughout the world. The next-generation NorSap product line offers an extensive array of options to accommodate a wide variety of work environments with modular designs and enhanced ergonomics to meet the demands of the most challenging conditions.

The NorSap 1600 Standard chair is robust and comfortable — perfectly suited for demanding environments, yet stylish enough to match the decor of pleasure yachts. The chair is compact in size and easy to install, and features armrests that offer spacious room for internal cabling and installation of equipment and accessories, as well as user-friendly buttons for height and backrest adjustments.

Providing numerous options and configurations, the NorSap 1800 Active offers full adjustability via a gas-spring actuated height-control system with six stepless seat adjustments to adapt to any body shape. Users can set the 1800 to their optimal working position regardless of conditions. This modular platform has been specifically designed for optimal customer component integration and easy servicing, allowing control equipment to be fixed into the armrests.

The NorSap 4000 Impulse model is a step up from the well-known NorSap 2500-3500 MX chair that has been an industry standard. The 4000 is modular by design, with multiple armrests and adjustable footrests and headrests, as well as the ability to add optional video monitors and controls to allow for near total customization for each customer. The chair has a strong central assembly that can hold up to demanding conditions while accommodating electric seat adjustments for various body sizes. Ergonomic settings can be saved in memory for quick recall of individual operator preferences.
