IMO meeting adjourns without agreement on reducing emissions

(LONDON) — The International Maritime Organization will hold its next meeting on the issue of reducing emissions from ships in March 2011, Reuters reported. IMO delegates met last week and still do not have an agreement on mandatory pollution reductions. Activists said the industry still would prefer to have one global standard rather than multiple local standards.
