High winds at Tripoli delay ferry with fleeing U.S., Canadian citizens

(TRIPOLI) — A ferry with American and Canadian citizens trying to flee Libya has not been able to sail because of high winds, the Globe and Mail newspaper of Toronto reported. The U.S. government chartered the 600-foot catamaran Maria Dolores, but it is still stuck at the Tripoli port. The State Department says the occupants are safe and the vessel plans to depart when the wind and waves calm.
