Guam shipyard challenges $1M tariff in dispute with port

(GUAM) — Watts Constructors has initiated a court challenge to have about $1 million in tariffs returned after cargo was shipped from the Guam Shipyard instead of by the Guam Port Authority, television station KUAM reported. Watts paid the money already because it needed to have a loaded ship depart from the shipyard. Now it wants its money back, arguing that the arrangement with the Port Authority is unfair.
