Guam authorities turn away ship infested with spiders (PHOTO)

(HAGATNA, Guam) — Authorities in Guam have turned away a cargo ship that was infested with non-native spiders, the Pacific Daily News newspaper reported. The MV Altavia, which was carrying building materials and accessories for new housing, had last called in Korea. The operator, Marianas Steamship Agencies, promised to cooperate with the territorial Department of Agriculture and U.S. Coast Guard.
