Great Lakes icebreaking season the worst in years

(CLEVELAND) — The 2007-08 icebreaking season on the Great Lakes is one of the toughest in a decade, UPI reported. Though it’s mid-April, Coast Guard cutters are working overtime to keep shipping lanes open. In some places, ice has been more than 15 feet thick.
