Giant containment dome en route on barge to Gulf leak (VIDEO)

(PORT FOURCHON, La.) — A giant containment dome has departed Port Fourchon on a barge en route to the Deepwater Horizon rig, Cable News Network reported. BP says it may take several days to get the dome in place, with hopes the cover will trap most of the leaking crude oil and allow crews to pump it into vessels on the surface. If it works, a second, smaller dome may be ordered to deal with a second leak.
