Fuel barge runs aground off British Columbia

(CAMPBELL RIVER, British Columbia) — A barge loaded with 60,000 liters of diesel and gasoline ran aground and began taking on water Wednesday night near Campbell River, The Vancouver Sun reported. A Canadian Coast Guard lifeboat crew responded and helped the tugboat crew refloat the barge, which was towed off the rocks and taken to port. No pollution was reported.
