(SUPERIOR, Wis.) — A Fraser Shipyards employee who was injured while working on a Great Lakes freighter in February has died, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reported. Joseph Burch, a 22-year employee of the company, died Saturday night as a result of burns suffered in the incident on a ship that was moored for repairs during winter layup. Fraser officials said in March that they were working with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers to investigate the fatality.
