(WELLINGTON, New Zealand) — A former officer on the U.S.-owned anti-whaling activist vessel Ady Gil said his own organization ordered him to sink the vessel after it was rammed and damaged by a Japanese whaling ship, TVNZ of New Zealand reported. Sea Shepherd Conservation Society denies the accusation amid a falling out between the officer and other officials in the save-the-whales group. He claims he was told to go to the engine room and open the sea cogs to flood the boat.
