Florida gambling ship Ambassador II ceases operations

(PORT CANAVERAL, Fla.) — The gambling ship Ambassador II will no longer sail, Florida Today reported. It operator, Sterling Casino Lines, has ceased operations after several maintenance problems on the vessel. The 1,744-passenger vessel, built 37 years ago, has operated at Port Canaveral since 1998. The ceasing of operations comes at the cost of 500 jobs.
