(NEW YORK) — Convenience store operator Wawa will take delivery of a Jones Act-compliant articulated tug-barge (ATB) this year from Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding to transport gasoline from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Florida, Argus Media reported. Wawa, whose locations often include gasoline stations, plans to expand its presence in Florida, which relies primarily on seaborne shipments of refined products due to a lack of pipeline access. The ATB will have a capacity of roughly 180,000 barrels.
