Duluth iron ore shipments plunge to Depression-era levels

(DULUTH, Minn.) — Iron ore shipments have declined to 1930s levels, Minnesota Public Radio reported. Taconite volumes have fallen 61 percent this year. Port officials say they expect the numbers to improve in the next six months.
