(SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO — October 10, 2007) Jose Francisco Nazario, Crowley’s finance director in Puerto Rico, was elected vice president of the Puerto Rico Shipping Association during a meeting held last week in Puerto Rico. Nazario was previously secretary of the organization and is an official member of the association’s Silver Anchor Club.
Nazario, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, has more than 26 years of experience in the maritime industry.
“It is an honor and privilege to have the confidence of the members of the Puerto Rico Shipping Association,” Nazario said. “I thank Crowley for giving me the opportunity to participate in this distinguished organization. I will continue working within the association to improve the conditions and efficiency of the port facilities of our island for the benefit of the maritime industry and our people.”
