Crew safe after abandoning sinking tugboat in B.C.

(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — The crewmembers of a tugboat are safe after abandoning their sinking vessel Monday morning in Georgia Strait, CTV News reported. The 59-foot Harken 10 sank off Sandheads near the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. The mariners — the number was not immediately determined by authorities — climbed into an aluminum boat that was being towed by the tug.
