Community group saves historic Hawaiian vessel Falls of Clyde

(HONOLULU) — A community group has stepped in to save the historic sailing vessel Falls of Clyde, the television station KHNL reported. The Friends of Falls of Clyde formed to take over maintenance of the 19th century Matson vessel, which will be refurbished in dry dock. The Bishop Museum ran out of money to maintain the ship and sought a buyer while warning that it may be scrapped.
