(WASHINGTON) — Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen has issued a written order to all Coast Guard personnel to respect their fellow mariners. Allen said he has heard too many reports of poor treatment of mariners during boardings and inspections. He reminded his personnel not to be heavy-handed and to facilitate commerce.
