Coast Guard cutter, Block Island ferry collide in fog

(NEW LONDON, Conn.) — The Block Island Ferry and a Coast Guard cutter collided in dense fog, the Associated Press reported. The cutter Morro Bay sustained minor damage, and the ferry was dented. No one was injured; there were more than 250 passengers aboard the ferry. Visibility was 200 yards at the time. A motorcycle fell on top of a car, and a load of seafood spoiled because it couldn’t be delivered during the investigation.
