(GUAM) — The civilian chief mate on a U.S.-flagged ship is missing after he fell from the vessel near Guam, the Pacific Daily News newspaper reported. The victim fell from the bridge wing of the USNS Maj. Stephen W. Pless. The Coast Guard has suspended its search for the merchant mariner, who was working for Waterman Steamship Corp.
